Building Information Model (BIM) reverse engineering of the Louvre roofs

The project

Art Graphique & Patrimoine realised the retroconception BIM of the Louvre’s roofs in order to establish a health diagnosis.
The operation took place in several steps. First, an important phase of 3D scanning by lasergrammetry and air photogrammetry (drone) : the surveying of the entire surface of the roofs, which is more than 12 acres, was then used to assemble the mesures in a point cloud.
Based on these data, AGP’s BIM specialists architects realised a restitution of the building’s model with a Level of Detail 200/300.
