BIM model of Villa Majorelle, Nancy
The project involves the restoration and renovation of the Villa Majorelle designed by French architect Henri Sauvage (1873-1932). The Villa was the subject of a complete 3D digitalization and modelisation, carried out by AGP surveyors engineers and architects.
Thanks to the combination of lasergrammetric and photogrammetric techniques the whole of the decoration and the Art Nouveau woodworks will be captured in the smallest details, to obtain a real double digital model of the monument. From this point cloud data base AGP developed a retro-engineering BIM of the building in order to proceed to the restoration project.
This technology makes it possible to enhance the diagnostics works, thanks to the integration of additional information such as:
the state of conservation of the elements
the level of interest for the elements
the project management’s recommendations for the maintenance
the intervention planning and schedule
and many other relevant values.
The Villa Majorelle project is a remarkable example of retro-engineering BIM process, at the forefront of innovation for this type of heritage.
